Taking it all off !

Hey Guys!

So I know, I know, I have been seriously slacking on my blogging lately. Sheesh so much has been going on and now with the holidays approaching quickly there’s so much to do and so little time! Anyway tonight I want to talk about, you guessed it, taking it all off, and by that I mean your makeup of course! There are two “methods” if you will that I use to remove my makeup before cleansing my face of course.

One way is a makeup melter, and I feel like I’m very old school with this! I have always found that Ponds Cold Cream is the absolute BEST at melting your makeup right off your face. It can be found right at your local drugstore its cheap. It runs about $5 for a jar and it has 6.1 oz in it which means it lasts FOREVER! A “high end” version of this would be the Clinique Take the Day off Balm, I myself have never tried this one personally, but have heard from many people that it is fantastic! This runs for $29.00 and comes with 3.8 oz which is still a pretty good price in my opinion, especially if it works  as well as people say it does. I think I will have to purchase this soon.

Next I want to talk about makeup wipes, now I have tried a lot of makeup wipes in my day. Some good, some not so good, some that left my skin oily after and some that left my skin very, very dry! I like to think I have combination skin, my skin is oily in the summer and then it gets pretty dry in the winter. The first wipes I want to talk about are the Neutrogena Makeup Removing Cleansing Towlettes. These are good I really think they do a good job at getting all your makeup off, however I will say these leave my skin a little dry at times. These are about $5 at your local drugstore. and come with 25 in a pack and also come in a nighttime version as well. These next wipes I want to talk about are the ELF Cosmetics Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths, I recently just tried these, and my whole world was changed. Not only do these wipes really get EVERYTHING off your face, they smell good, in my opinion, AND they are the softest wipe I have ever used. They feel good on the skin, and they don’t leave my skin oily or dry! Another plus to these wipes is they are $3, you cant beat that. They come with 20 wipes in a pack. So the next time you are at your local drugstore I highly recommend these!

That’s all I have for today guys, thank you for reading! Please leave me a comment telling me what makeup removing method is your favorite! Don’t forget to follow me on twitter and instagram, links are below!

New Products…

Hi guys!

I recently purchased a few new things that I want to take a few minutes to talk about today.

First things first, let me just talk about the new makeup brushes I bought from Mikasa Beauty, my first impression of these brushes was they were pretty soft on the face. I have been using them for about a week and a half, I purchased a brush set that came with 4 brushes. Their E220 concealer brush, F100 powder brush, F111 Blush Brush, and F200 Duo Fibre Finishing brush.

The Duo fiber finished brush is definitely my favorite, I have been using this for bronzer, its fantastic and blends the products really well. I also really like the blush brush, its a really great blush brush. The powder brush is good as well, its just the right size to set your face. If your anything like me, you don’t like when a poweder brush is TOO big, sometimes i feel like if its too big for your face, it is almost hard to use. It could just be me that feels that way, but the Mikasa Beauty powder brush does a great job of “fitting” my face and setting my makeup. Lastly, I generally use my beauty blender to blend in my concealer so I haven’t been using the concealer brush for concealer per say, but I do use it to clean up around my brows and it works really well, its the right size to clean them up as well.

My final opinion on these brushes is they are really just good brushes. I think I will probably go on their site and purchase some of their “Techni Brushes” next which are their oval and circle brushes. If you want to check out their brushes which I recommend you do, you can do so HERE . I would say that these brushes are more high end in my opinion, their prices range from $35 down to $11 depending on the type of brush, so thats something to keep in mind. I definitely think you are getting what you pay for though, because these brushes are worth the money. They also have makeup on their site as well.

Next I just want to touch on a few things, I have been using the Kathleen Lights x Morphe Brushes eye shadow palette this past week, and I LOVE IT! The colors are right up my alley and they are super pigmented and look amazing on the eyes. Not only are the colors in this palette amazing, the price was awesome too. It retailed for $14.99 which we all know morphe is super affordable which also makes their products great as well. Right now this palette is sold out it was a limited edition. Im really hoping they bring it back one more time, I definitely would purchase anther one just to have for whenever I run out of this one.

Lastly, I just want to talk about my foundation drama, I was looking for a new foundation to try out. I usually on the day to day use Maybelline Fit Me stay matte as I have previously said, I also really like the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation as well. I for some reason was having the hardest time finding a good color for my skin this past week. Im very fair skinned but my chest area is a little darker. I usually try and find foundations that are pretty good matches, but since I was a little darker in the summer I wanted to switch over for the fall/winter. Finally after trying a few that were in my opinion too light, I decided to find a happy medium to match my chest as well as face, cause I can always go ahead and blend down my neck. Which brought me to buy the Lancome Tent Idole Ultra 24 Hr Longwear Foundation. I have heard this is a very good full coverage foundation from quite a few people. I ended up getting a shade darker then my actual face so I bought the shade Ivoire 140 N. I asked the girl at Ulta for her opinion and she agreed that it looks much better because I didn’t look SO PALE. So that was my drama, and I’m glad I was able to find a happy medium. I plan on doing a review on this foundation soon.

Well that’s it for today, I will post some pictures down below of the brushes I purchased, the foundation, and A few pictures of a makeup look I did on my sister yesterday as well! If you would like me to tell you guys how I did the look please leave me a comment 🙂 Please go subscribe to my blog and show me some love!

Its been a while…

Hey Guys! So I know I have been MIA for about a week or so…

A lot has been going on the last few weeks, it was my youngest’s first birthday! We had so much fun celebrating with our friends and family! Her birthday party was Saturday and her actual birthday was Sunday. Of course we had a Halloween themed birthday party for her. Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, I just think its so much fun! My girls looked so cute Monday on Halloween as well! My oldest was Ariel from the little mermaid, and the little one was a little pink monster! I tried my best to create little scales on my oldest daughter to make her look more mermaid like, it worked out pretty well, but seeing as how I have a million neutral eye-shadows and like only a few fun colors it was hard to create a lot of dimension with it, and also shes a kid so of course a lot of them got smooshed lol.

I will post a pic of what it looked like down below. I think it was also hard because she wouldn’t sit still lol. Anyways, I was a sultry vampire last night and I LOVED creating that look! I will post some pictures down below of that as well!

To tell you a little bit of how I created the look, I mainly used white cream makeup that I got from the Halloween store and mixed that with my regular foundation to make myself look more pale. This surprisingly worked out really well. For my eyes, I of course used my Morphe 35o Palette, I used some of the orangey colors in the crease and then filled in my whole lid with a black crayon eyeshadow from Rimmel London. I made sure to blend that really well, so that my eyes looked seamless. I then set that with just a matte black shadow. To add a little more dimension to my eyes I went back into my Morphe palette and added some of the cranberry color into my crease to further deepen the crease and the outer corner as well. I contoured my face using the Kat Von D Shade and Light palette, I used the lightest cool toned contour shade, and used that to really carve out my cheek bones giving the appearance that I was really “skinny” and that my cheeks were really sunken in. I also contoured my nose a little to make that look skinnier as well. I used the NYX strobe of genius highlighter palette to highlight the high planes of my face cause you know real vampire’s glow in the sunlight lol.

I then went back to my eyes adding a wing, and going back with that cranberry shade and really dragging that down under my eyes, I used a red lip liner I had laying around in my water line to give it that blood shot effect. I used a really tiny brush and some dark brown shadow to create little veins under my eyes, and then used the cranberry shade over that lightly just to give myself more of that overly tired look. Lastly I used black eye liner to line my lips lightly and really blended it out well, and then used Colourpop’s ultra matte lipstick in the color “London Fog” which is a really nice red shade. Then I used some fake blood and dripped that down my lips and down my neck and also just messily put it all around my lips to make me look like i just drank some blood!

and thats it! I know this blog post is a little late seeing as Halloween is over but i figured i would share the look with you. Next post I will be posting about some brushes I recently have been trying out. I will give my review on them, hopefully soon so stay tuned! Thank you guys for reading and please feel free to leave me a comment or go follow me on twitter or instagram, the links are below!

Morphe 35o Palette and More

I just recently purchased the Morphe Brushes 35o eye-shadow palette, and can I just say Oh My God. This palette is beautiful!!!! I have known about Morphe Brushes for a while but I have never ordered from them until recently.

If you don’t already know Morphe is super super affordable and their brushes and eye-shadows are amazing. I have not tried anything else of theirs beside the shadows and the brushes.

I got the chance to play around with the palette a little bit the other day and Good Lord the color pay off for some of these shadows are INCREDIBLE!! It is a very warm palette I will post some pictures down below, but the palette itself costs $22.99 plus shipping. Which is super cheap for an eye-shadow palette. Not to mention for only being $23 you are getting extremely good quality eye-shadow and there are 35 matte and shimmer shadows in this which is SO many, especially when your comparing how many come in some of the higher end palettes. This palette is good for a plethora of looks!! Did I really just use the word plethora? (eye roll) lol! Anyway if your like me and tend to stay with warm colors you will LOVE this palette.

Next I wanna talk about the Morphe Brushes and Kathleen Lights collaboration eye-shadow palette that just went up on their website today, and girlfriend… this palette!! I watched a video from Kathleen swatching the colors and they are just insanely beautiful! If you don’t follow Kathleen Lights go follow her cause from what I can see shes awesome and extremely talented.

Anyway, this palette is gorgeous as I said I just ordered mine this morning so I cannot wait to get it and use it! It is 15 shadows with a mixture of matte and shimmer colors. Some of the colors are colors Morphe already had out and some are ones that she came up with herself. At any rate I cannot wait to get my hands on this and create some looks and review this palette! Head over to the Morphe Brushes website and check it out for sure! LINK HERE

So that’s it for today, if you guys have any products you would like me to try out and review please leave me a comment and let me know. If you haven’t already follow me over on Instagram and Twitter the links are below! Thanks for reading!

Fall Look

Lets talk about this fall look I did today. So I have some good and bad things to say about this look and I’m going to talk about some new products that I used and some old ones that I have mentioned before.

First things first, I used Nivea Men’s after shave balm sensitive to prime my face and then of course I went and used, Maybelline Matte + Poreless for foundation. I don’t always start with my eyes first, sometimes I do, but when I want to take my time with them I will usually do them last. For concealer I used Tarte Shape Tape of course. To set my T zone I used NYX Set it & Don’t fret It setting powder.

I have to say, I recently purchased this setting powder for the first time a few weeks ago and while I think it does a good job of setting my face, it is SERIOUSLY powdery. Sounds weird to say that but when I opened it up a huge cloud of dust came out of the container. Not to mention when I am applying it to my face dust flies everywhere. So that part is not my favorite.

Next, I bronzed and contoured my face with the Wet N Wild Contouring Palette this has recently been my go to for bronzing and contouring I think the bronzer is a very stunning color and is very warm and compliments me. I then used my Tarte Oasis for blush, and highlighted with ColourPop Lunch Money highligher, this is seriously beautiful. I use this often and I’m actually almost out.

For the eyes I used the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani eyeshadow palette, here’s where I felt this look became tough. I feel like this eyeshadow palette while it looks beautiful the colors in my opinion are very hard to blend. I also feel like they are not very pigmented. This is only my opinion I know everyone is different however I purchased this palette when it was on sale at Sephora ($25). Looking at the colors they are very, very beautiful and not all of the colors are too bad pigment wise. The ones I used today were for some reason, hard to blend I found myself going back in twice trying to blend some of it out, and it seemed very streaky in my opinion.

Lastly, I used L’Oreal Voluminous Lashes for mascara and ColourPop Lumiere lip liner and ColourPop Lumiere 2 matte liquid lipstick on my lips. Oh, and I forgot before I did my eyes I filled in my brows with Palladio Brow Powder.

So that’s mainly it for this look, it was not one of my favorites and I felt like the eyes were not as clean as I would have liked them to be. Anyway if you like this look please leave me a comment, and also let me know any suggests for products you would like me to review next!

Lets Talk Foundation and Concealing these dark circles…

Hey Welcome Back!

Today I want to talk about the big elephant in the room right now and that is my DARK circles! Being that I have very fair skin, and the fact that most nights I don’t always get the recommended 8 hours a sleep, I have awful dark circles under my eyes. I’m sure many moms out there can relate. Its not always easy getting enough sleep when you have two kids, and while I try to get as much as possible it doesn’t seem to stop me from getting these darn dark circles!

I wanted to share with you guys a few products that I have found that have really helped me with my circles as well as a few of my favorite foundations. I definitely would say I have combination skin, dry in the winter and can also get oily in the spring/summer. That just seems to be the way it goes with my skin. To get extra personal about once a month I get very broken out, and I’m sure you ladies can understand why. When my face breaks out like that I wind up feeling very self conscious. I try during the week if I am not going too many places, to not where face makeup, as well as cleanse and moisturize often!

So with that being said here are a few high-end as well as drugstore foundations I have found that really help to hide my imperfections:

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Full Coverage Foundation – This stuff, if you have not tried it is by far one of the most amazing foundations I have found. When they say full coverage, I swear to you they mean it. It hides every blemish I have on my face. It also feels so good on the skin like I am literally wearing nothing, and yes ladies it DOES last 12 hours if not longer. This can be found HERE . As well as, in Sephora and Ulta and on their websites.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Foundation : This for me is more of an everyday, foundation. I use this quite often and it works very well for me. It keeps me looking matte especially on the days when I notice my skin is looking more oily. It also does a great job of hiding my imperfections. This can be found at any drugstore.

Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation : This is also a very good one for me. I feel like it does a a very good job of covering my blemishes. It lasts a very long time on the skin and I love the way it feels on my skin as well. This cant be found HERE . As well as in Sephora and on the Sephora website.

Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation : This for me is an oldie but a goodie. I used this before I started using the Maybelline Fit me foundation. This foundation in my opinion is pretty full coverage and really mattifies your face. This is also sold in pretty much any drugstore. It is also very decently priced ( about $5).

Okay, now for concealers, as I said above, girlfriend desperately needs a good concealer because of these big ol’ dark circles. So here’s what works for me:

Tarte Shape Tape : Okay, I know I know I keep talking about Tarte products on my blog. But, they are amazing and they work! This concealer is my holy grail. It covers my dark circles, it doesn’t crease, and it lasts all day! I love love love this concealer. You can get this HERE  . As well as in Sephora and Ulta.

Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles : I spoke about this one in a previous post. This is also a very good concealer. It does just what it says, erases dark circles. I use this more on a daily basis, for everyday makeup looks.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer : This one I also like. It conceals very well and lasts long. This is a close second to Shape Tape. This can be found HERE . As well as Sephora and Ulta.

And that’s it, these are my top foundations and concealers. If you are looking to try something new check out one of these amazing products! I will post pictures of the products mentions below.

Eye Shadow Palettes and MORE.

Hi guys,

So I wanted to take a minute to talk about a few things. First lets talk about my favorite eye shadow palette’s cause to be honest thats probably my favorite part about makeup! My all time hands down favorite palette, whether its for an everyday look or a glam look is by far the Tartlette in Bloom palette by Tarte Cosmetics. Ever since I got it I almost ALWAYS find myself grabbing for this gorgeous palette, if you havent seen it I will post a picture of it down at the bottom of this post. You can get it on Tarte’s website (Here) or at Sephora and I believe Ulta has it on their site as well! The colors are just STUNNING! It is 9 matte colors and 3 luster colors and girl it is so pigmented, you must go check it out! You can literally create any look with this palette which is great.

Also, I have quite and obsession with Tarte Cosmetics and if you dont follow them on snapchat go follow them. They just released a new eye shadow palette and a highlight palette that also has 2 contour shades a cream and a powder and they are so insanely beautiful I cannot wait to get my hands on both of these palettes!

Lastly, I have been really loving a few products that I just wanted to share with you guys! Im obsessed with Tarte’s lights, camera, lashes mascara and this is forever my ride or die mascara. I also have been loving my new Matte lip color from Maybelline in the color “Chocoholic” its like a deep brown color which is great for fall. Also my NYX Liquid Suede cream lipstick in the color “Vintage” its like a pretty sangria color if you will. Last but not least I started using Nivea Men After Shave Balm Sensitive, and yes you read that right I said MEN after shave balm. I started using this after watching quite a few of my favorite youtuber’s use this as a primer. Let me just tell you, it works! First and for most I felt like my makeup stayed all night and I didnt have to worry much about anything moving. Im seriously impressed!!! So if your feeling daring, go buy it! This you can just get at Walmart, or any drug store really.

So thats its for today I will post a few pictures down below of the products as well as a picture from a look I created using the Tartlette in Bloom palette and a few of the  products I mentioned as well. Chocoholic is whats on my lips in the picture. Thank you for reading, leave me a comment and go follow me on Instagram and Twitter and all that good stuff. Links are down at the bottom of the page!!

My “Everyday” Mommy Beauty Routine

So if your a mom you know how hard it is to get up everyday and do your makeup and get ready on top of making breakfast for the kids and making sure everyone is taken care of  before even thinking about yourself. Most days its hard to even get a shower let alone put on and take the time to do your makeup. However I have pretty much gotten a “Daily” beauty routine down to a science now. I have a look that is basically my everyday go to look, that is so simple I can do it in my sleep, and lets be real most mornings I am literally sleeping. So Im going to tell you about what I do and how I do it each day…

First things first ladies let me let you in on a little secret that you may or may not already know. Its called tinted BB cream. Tinted BB cream is seriously my best friend, cause lets be real, none of us moms have time for foundation on just your average morning, unless your feeling fancy. If your like me, you use basically all your regular “drugstore” makeup throughout the week, and save the fancy expensive stuff for the weekends or nights out.

So generally I apply tinted BB cream first, all over my face, and usually I use Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8 in 1 Beauty Balm. Next I use concealer, cause momma has DARK circles, one thing I hate, I have been told too many times that I “look tired” (yeah thanks!!).  So in my opinion Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles, is by far THE BEST drugstore concealer I have every used! If you have never tried this I highly, highly recommend it. I usually apply this to my T Zone and anywhere else I may have a blemish, and blend it in with a damp beauty blender. I usually use the regular Beauty Blender which if you don’t know what that is, it is literally sent from heaven here to help all your blending dreams come true. Its pricey in my opinion for a sponge ($20) but its worth it, I also like the Tarte Quickie Blending Sponge as well its a little bit cheaper ($16). This sponge you can use wet or dry, I actually use it dry because I find it works a lot better that way.

Next thing I do is set the areas of my face that I just concealed, I sometimes get a little bit oily so every once in a while I will just go ahead and set my whole face, the powder Ive been using is from the Wet N Wild Contouring Palette. Next I will fill in my brows with Palladio Brow Powder. Then I go ahead and carve out my cheek bones with the bronzer from that same Wet N Wild Contouring Palette. I then pop some blush on the apples of my cheeks using Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso. This is my all time favorite drugstore blush hands down. Lastly I will curl my lashes and apply some mascara and my go to for everyday mascara is L’Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Volume Building Mascara. And that’s it!! Its so simple and quick!!

Below I will post the products I just talked about, and if your a busy mom go try out this look. Eventually I may want to start doing YouTube Tutorials so if this is something you wanna see let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
